At Glassify, we need your eyeglass prescription, which your ophthalmologist or optician makes for you.
The eyeglass prescription shows us what strength your glasses should have so you get the best vision.
You can get your prescription for glasses by having an eye test at an ophthalmologist or optician. You can find an overview of ophthalmologists here . An eye test at an ophthalmologist is free if you have an eye disease.
However, the optician performs most eye tests. If you have your eye test done by an optician, they will charge a small fee of around DKK 200-300 for the eye test if you do not buy glasses from them.
Remember that a prescription is based on a subjective eye test and can therefore change from day to day and from optician to optician. We recommend that you arrive for your eye test well-rested.
Once you have your eyeglass prescription, simply send it to us and we will do the rest.
If you need glasses with a smooth transition, we will ask you to send a picture of yourself wearing the glasses to get a precise view of your field of vision.
If you see well with your current strength, you do not need an eye test to have new lenses made for your frames.
We can measure your strength based on your old lenses. So if you see fine with your current strength, but the lens in your frame needs to be replaced, you can simply send us your glasses, after which we will insert new lenses with the same strength.
However, it is always good to have your eyes examined at regular intervals to detect any incipient diseases.
